Late Clutch Centre 3355-57

Post by allan.walker »

I need some advice on my clutch, please.
Is it essential to use clutch centre 3355-57 if a later clutch drum with friction inserts is fitted, or can the earlier type with the 'tags' on which the first plate abuts be used?
Can the earlier clutch centre with 'tags' be modified so that it fits in the same way as the later type 3355-57? (i.e. grind away the 'tags,' or are there other differences between the earlier and later clutch centres?

If you use the earlier centre with tags you will not gain the advantage of the extra friction in the basket. The only difference between the centres is the tags, or lack thereof. Draganfly don't make the late centre but when someone orders one they machine the tags off an earlier one.
