1950 Single Front fork top bolt thread

Post by bevanclark »

Hi folks,
Could someone please tell me the thread type on the front fork top bolt (the one that screws into the fork tube) ? It seems to be 3/4" in diameter and 20 tpi not 26 tpi, but is it still BSC ?
Cheers,
Bevan

Thsnks Nev.
Although I have a cyclethread tap and die set, it is all 26 tpi of course I want to make a fork draw bolt, so guess I'll need to buy a 3/4" 20 tpi bcy die.

OR buy a new fork top bolt and use the worst of your current ones to make the Puller. If you screw cut it on a lathe it's whitworth form. US cycle is 24 and 20 AN form . Nev
