Superb guide on how to make lost-wax castings in your bedroom. I have only seen it used before to make small parts for modelling or in industry to make turbine blades for jet engines, using lots of very expensive equipment. It is difficult to get steel castings made at a reasonable price, a large part of that is the cost of making the patterns, at least that part you have shown how it can be done more cheaply.
