Otto Head Gaskets

Before I replace the head on a Mk2 Square Four, is there a need for gasket sealant, other than the bead of silicone around the pushrod tunnels, as recommended by Bruce Longman?

No other sealant needed, other than what Bruce says. Remember that it should be a copper based sealant, which is more expensive but worth it as it doesn’t dry out in the tube when you use it again in a years time.
