Single timing house casting in bad shape
The bit towards the magdyno may be broken off, edge damaged, oil attachments broken, whatever.
But the round part holding the cam and followers pin should be o.k.
I want to mill holes in it at pushrod end level to check on the seating - followers/pushrods.
My (not yet build in) WNG engine makes a 'clacking' noise when cranked over by hand , I suspect one (or both) pushrod tilting itself from the cup on the camfollower and falling back in it's cup.
