Ariel Twin KG / 1948 valve clearance

Post by Karol Burger »

Hello my friends. A week ago he discovered that my gasket under the engine head was damaged. I am currently trying to fix this and need your advice. After I replace the gasket and take the entire engine apart, I will need to adjust the valve clearance for the lift rods. What is the appropriate valve clearance for the KG/1948 model :?: :?: :?:

Thank you Vincent. I will translate it into Slovak and use it during assembly. You helped me a lot. It's hard for me to find it when I don't know the language.

Karol
If I understand this topic correctly :
viewtopic.php?t=13636
Tappet clearance .002" (both) unless you have a later (as used after 16/2/1952) camshaft fitted in which case 005"(in) and 008"(ex).

Ak som správne pochopil túto tému:
viewtopic.php?t=13636
Vôľa zdvihátka 0,002" (obe), pokiaľ nemáte namontovaný neskôr (ako sa používa po 16/2/1952) vačkový hriadeľ, v tomto prípade 005"(in) a 008"(ex).

;)
