Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
We all got home safe. Many thanks to Marius, his team and all the the Dutch who made us feel very welcome for a great rally.
Tilly, Alan and myself live very close to each other so we all shared a small hamper for the longest distance award, but I'm baging it for myself!! I must have done an extra 20 miles riding back to them after Tilleys constant breakdowns only joking lads

What was your reward, what prize did you get?

Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
It was a selection of typical Dutch food, Cheese, Jams in a lovely fancy package, very nice, there's a picture somewhere. My son in law is working in Vissengen on the wind turbines so drove over and joined us for a drink Saturday night. As he had the van he will bring it home for us. Just hope he doesn't eat it all
Just saw the weather, we lucky missed all this.

Yep.
We have had some thunderstorms and biblical rain in the East this afternoon.

Seats too low on Agnes so I've raised the saddle a couple of inches. Seems much better.
I had to make two longer stays

Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
It's time I got thinking about the Czech Annual Rally, so I've done a little electrical work, dangerous I know.
I've cut off the supply going to the ignition and routed it via a two way switch with the other way going to my pack of 8 AA batteries. The thinking is my alternator goes faulty I can switch over supply to the AA batteries.
I've greased the chain and tightened up the wheel nuts. Just have to think about what spares I can take with me.
Next Job is fitting a UK sign to my rear
Also got a bit arty with my top box.

Wot, no trailer?!
Steve, you might want to have a think about that back tyre, when that central tread groove starts to disappear these Avons don't have much before they're down to the canvas (mine didn't anyway....)
