Very nice machine, lovely indeed! But for using it in modern traffic it will be quite a challenge in my view. A 250 SV will not be any quicker then a average moped these days I’am afraid. It can be fun if you are living in the rural surroundings of the country side imo.

A lot of our bikes can't keep up with Freeway traffic. The speed limit used to be 30 MPH and the roads were such you didn't want to go faster without good springing. There was a Matchless 250sv pre 30 in a group I ride with and it went surprisingly well. I have memories of riding BSA C 10 250 sidevalves and they are not shattering performers either. Nev
