I have one of these, 12V 7Ah
Sitting on its end inside one of these
But its always been a bit of a pain to charge, having to remove the strap and the lid
I had a 'eureka' moment.
Why don't I fit one of these
Then I can charge it like my modern BMW with one of these
So,I made a stainless steel bracket and mounted it here
Then what happened..........?????
No prizes.................. Just for fun.

Re: Battery Charging NH
What a nice neat inconspicuous installation, far away from fiddly fingers -
and, possibly, official fingers with the charger socket.
Don't ask about the Yamaha and the Optimate . . .

Re: Battery Charging NH
Hmmmmm, it all looks a bit metallic (my socket is plastic !).
Did you get the polarity wrong . . . . . . ?
I'll vote for a short .
Bob..

Re: Battery Charging NH
Bob.
Got it in one.
Battery chargers are connected to suit modern vehicles, -ve ground.
So the plug is +ve tip, -ve side.
My NH is conventionally wired for the age +ve ground.
So the socket is connected -ve tip, +ve side.
Consequently I had to make an adaptor, reverse wired in the plug to suit.
Charge Success
