Different mudguard lifting handle dimensions
Different mudguard lifting handle dimensions
Good evening
Could anyone tell me the dimension differences between early ariel lifting handles and wng lifting handles please? I know that there is an additional mudguard bracket on one and nuts on the other. Its whether an early one would be long enough so that I could modify more than anything.
Many thanks
Adam

Re: Different mudguard lifting handle dimensions
The centre stay/lifting handle is the same on singles and twins from 1935-49 part 5590-35. The variant for high level pipes that has 2 extra nuts welded for the silencer supports is 5589-35 and the SQ4 one is 5589-37.

Re: Different mudguard lifting handle dimensions
Thank you for the reply Roger, how different is the 34? This is in stock but looks different, could it be modified easily or is it just too short?
Thank you
Adam

Re: Different mudguard lifting handle dimensions
I have begun the process of manufacturing my own lifting handle, would anyone have dimensions available for me please? Specifically total length of the handle, length of the incorporated stay, width between the stay legs, radius of the corners of the lifting handle and the angle between the handle and stay.
I am sure that it could be worked out, but my mudguard has been repaired and has no original holes so difficult but not impossible to tell.
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards
Adam

Re: Different mudguard lifting handle dimensions
Adam,
I have an original 42 W/NG and a 30 Model A. If the lifting handles from either of these are suitable I can measure them for you, but I'm not sure which one you are specifically after.

Simon,
That would be amazing please? Its for the WNG that I require. Mines a 45 but it should be the same for all.
Many thanks
