Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
They are for BSA. The exhaust ports are splayed out more then an Ariel cast iron head so an Ariel siamese pipe wont fit.
The BSA crossover pipe fits inside the down tubes where as Ariel pipes cross over infront of the down tubes. I like that as it can't fall off as did happen to me on the M3 near Winchester.
It's a puzzle to fit though, all seems a bit tight then suddenly it's on,

Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
I've had a week on Bere Island, just leaving now this morning must get back in time for this weekend's Crazy Horse No trains to Heathrow during to the strikes meant I rode my Electric Zero to the airport. Hopefully it's still there! And no charge for parking...

Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
When I was a callow youth, I rode my RE 1947 Bullet everywhere and just left it in tech college and uni car parks and it was never interfered with.
Good luck. I dare not think about doing that now. Just anybody could have started it and rode off. Many times it was my only vehicle and never let me down and I made it work, Put a roller bearing big end in it instead of the "usual" floating babbit faced bush. Nev

What turbine did you use Steve? My workshop is completely off grid. My wife said, "you're an engineer, why do we have to pay £4500 for a mains cable to your garage"...Steven.Carter wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 7:12 amI got my wind turbine up and working, just enough electricity to keep my shed alive
My solar panels have been working fine for years now, but buying that cable would have been a hell of a lot easier!
cheers

Re: Ariel Riding and Fixing 2023
I bought it a few years ago off Amazon. Only around 500 watts but needs a decent wind to achieve that.simon.holyfield wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 11:14 amWhat turbine did you use Steve? I've just got hold of a 48volt 5 kWh battery to connect to it.
The whole house on Bere Island is off grid with 8, 350watt solar pannels charging 3 pylontech3.3kwh batteries giving me around 9kwh storage connected to a 3kwh 240v inverter. December and January can be a touch difficult so hence the experiment with a turbine

Crazy Horse Time, and I'm off. First stop Basingstoke hospital, must be getting old, just for a scan nothing to worry about.
Nice food in the restaurant though.
