FOR SALE: 1928 engine shock absorber spring

Post by ray.philps »

I have had made 5 springs for the 26,27,28 model bikes, they are flat ribbon springs, measuring 1.125'' long x 1.312'' i.d. x 2.062'' o.d., steel thickness is .140'' if anyone wanting to buy any I am selling them at cost $48 AUD plus postage. Return email if any questions. Ray

I appreciate this post is nearly 10 years old - but any chance you still have any of these in your shed...?

If owners of 'The Ariel Chronicles' will turn to page 254 they'll find the measurements on my spring are slightly different than above, at:

Free length: 1.30"
Compressed length: 0.90"
ID: 1.35"
OD: 2.08"
Wire thickness: 0.15"
Wire width: 0.366"
