Re: FOR SALE 1904 (auction)
I think this is the missing L5000, the frame number is on the front of the front engine lugg and should start with a 4 if it is 1904.
It's the long heavy frame with Minerva engine and engine supports but the wrong 1903 Ariel 2- 3/4 HP tank this should be a Minerva tank wich came with the engine.
Or the Ariel tank belongs to the frame and had the 2- 3/4 HP rearcam Ariel engine, in that case the frame is 1903 and the number will start with 3.
The new handlebarr is well made made but missing the contactkey in the stem center, it has the turngrip contact so there should be 2 contacts.
It has a steeringlock wich indicate 1903.
Overall a nice Ariel value 25000 pounds.

Bonhams catalogue listing. There are some numbers shown in one of the pictures (6th), could that be the frame number?

Re: FOR SALE 1904 (auction)
Yes 48xxx is 1904- August.
I wonder wich spare engine and tank are with it.
I have sold my archive and frame number list without keeping a copy .
A 1904 number 2 Minerva Ariel would be 10.000 - 15000 pounds.

Re: FOR SALE 1904 (auction)
It's all depending on the second engine and tank.
