Re: Connecting rods needed
Is there anyway to confirm that connecting rods are available before becoming a member? I know this sounds disrespectful, and I don't mean it to be. I am repairing this bike for an elderly gentleman and probably won't run into another Ariel Square Four on the bald Prairies of Alberta Canada. I would like to avoid unnecessary costs that would be transferred to this man ie. the membership fee, if in the end you don't have the rods.

Re: Connecting rods needed
Some rods were newly available recently (May/June) but they might have been nearly all pre-ordered.
Bennet Longman handles these for the Club, you'd probably be best off contacting him via Iron Horse Spares to judge the situation regarding these.

A couple of threads where I've gleaned this info from (last one seems to confirm the manufacturers of the new rods):

Re: Connecting rods needed
I think you can order a set of 4 new Square four con rods from Bennet Longman.
Mail to: bennet@ironhorsespares.co.uk
These are the same rods the club used to sell.
I don’t think you need to be a member to buy them.

con rods
I have just installed a set that I purchased from Bennet Longman at Iron horse spares UK.The rods are made by R&R rods in Florida USA.Excellent examples and completely satisfied.I have a set of stock rods with shells that have 3500 miles on them if interested. There was no reason I changed the old ones out other than as a performance engine builder I prefer billet rods.
