First of a big hello as I am new on here.
I am hoping someone may know the were abouts of my Father's old bike its an Ariel 350 single red hunter 1954 I believe the reg was WXT270 I would be exceedingly grateful to anyone with any info or ideas how I find it.
He sold the bike many years ago along with his 500 twin I know my father regretted selling them both but was nagged to do so by my grandfather as they were taking up room, and was not using them much as had acquired a Morris Minor by that stage. I have attached a picture of my father on his 350 Thanks Mark

Re: Looking for my Dad's old bike
It's an interesting picture, especially the 'L' plate wrapped around the fork
leg which makes the picture pre July 1961.
WXT 270 doesn't show up on a DVLA search which suggests the bike didn't
survive in use after the mid-70's. It may just still exist in someone's
collection awaiting restoration or it may have lost its original number as
a result of lack of paperwork.
Hopefully someone may have further information for you.

I find that pannier setup very interesting, too - I wonder if it was an accessory from somewhere or maybe had a touch of 'home brew'...
