2 and 7/8 inches Luis (between CENTRES). Give it a 1/8th inch offset away from the backplate also. I think the 2 7/8 is a bit longer then the standard girder fork brake arm to clear the wheel driven speedo the W/NG has. Nev

Nev
Thank you very much for the measures!
Your comments are very appreciated and accurate!

The external diameter of the shoes was 155mm.
The internal diameter of the drum is 165 mm, so I think the lining would be 5 mm thick.
Best regards!

That Drum diameter is close to standard size which is 6.5 inches in Imperial measures. I hope you get the sort of pleasure from your W/NG as I have from mine Luis. I first put it on the road about 1998 . 20 years with not even the head off it again. Rear chain and rear tyre. That's all. Nev

Hi Luis,

I got a 1943 W/NG a few months back that was a daily driver in Burma (Myanmar) until a few years ago-still has mud on it from Myanmar--and i'm looking for similar front brake parts--i have the shoes, springs and plate-and speedo drive-but need the brake came and bushing that bolts onto the plate as mentioned in your excellent article. I do have the cam lever (actuator)-which i got from Europe (France I think?). If you have any spare front W/NG brake cams and assorted washers etc. please let me know.
