Mecum auction

Post by Vincent.vanGinneke »

1750 motorcycles and only a few Ariels in this auction .
proves that Ariels are keepers and that HD stuff gets flogged

looks o.k. apart from those alloy rims.

could do with a little less chrome...but hey! this is the US of A !

(looks like using a VCH barrel )

there was one more SQ4 Mk1 somewhere

Even the hubs appear to be chromed on that SQ4. Does seem a little excessive!

In America nothing is loved more than a chrome toilet seat. Oh, one with a holster and a chromed .357 magnum.
Yes, a bit much but admired none the less. I have a ‘67 BSA Spitfire I picked up in Milwaukee that had everything but the frame chromed; it was far too much bling.

There is already a topic about it so you missed it Rein; viewtopic.php?f=10&t=11286

There is no new pre 1910 Ariel discovered in the last 20 years only some engines.
