Hi
JPR182 cannot be found on the DVLA website which implies the registration is not in current use. As the current owner has the old buff log book recording the original registration it should be possible to reclaim the number under the V765 scheme.

Hi, I was going by the original post that said it was now on a BMW, so I guess that wasn't the case?
I guess we'll all find out in a couple of weeks! Bennet is helping me apply to see if we can get it back onto my bike - is it possible that it was on a BMW a few years ago, but is now back free again? we'll see!
As you say, it would be great to be able to do that, and a shame if we can't.

I have a bike with an age related registration allocated, it is from the same area as the original Perhaps you could ask the DVSA to consider the original registration when issuing an age related one.
I took an old 2cv van that I purchased in Scotland to be registered here in Holland at the RDW , I was sat down watching the inspection and he called me over and told me the van came from Rotterdam originally and it can have its original registration number back , it is possible to be as simple as that but for some reason the DVLA are not as customer friendly , good luck with getting JPR 182 back
