Re: What to do ?
The Classic (British) bike market is falling, and will only get worse. Bikes sit on eBay for months, sometimes even years at a time, as they buyers are just not out there anymore.
Someone was selling a late 500 engine at the Annual, can’t remember exactly how much but it wasn’t silly money.

Re: What to do ?
hi i find Ariels are at the bottom of the ladder for motorcycles , you have to find the right buyer for them, if it was a triumph or a bsa which are a run of the mill motorcycle i find they sell very quick , but i find you can sell a ariel for more money if you break it up and sell the parts

I can hear you bursting a blood vessel from here Vincent!! My last SQ4 cost me 14K to build something worth 10K but I still love it.

Re: What to do ?
It may be marginally more profitable to sell a bike for parts. If it was all matching numbers it would amount to sacrilege, and it's more trouble anyhow.. Nev
Re: What to do ?
The decision is made.
I've just stumped up for some main bearings and my local company will sort out my VH crank.
I cannot be arsed to break the KH engine up - although the rebuilt mag, dynamo, primary cases and crank (I know - wasn't cheap to do them all and they've done no work) would likely sell easily enough. I've actually got another twin frame here, with most of the running gear.

THAT doesn't seem like much. Maybe the market is falling for this stuff. Nev
