Hahaha, there was a version made of paper but can’t remember which one offhand. There is a guy down the road here with aluminium drop tanks he uses for posts at his driveway entry. May have to take a closer look.
Terrific work as always Steve

hi i fitted on my matchless G 9 as a sidecar after i took the body of the sidecar in the the 1970s i found the tank in our scrap yard i cut it open and fitted it to the sidecar frame and fitted a old car seat and a little windshield and made it stronger, where i cut it open , that is the good thing of your family having a scrap yard you can find lots bits to make things 8-) :D :D i think someone in the family has still got the outfit somewhere :)

To be legal on the road in the UK it has to be less then 2.5 meters from the rear axle to the back of the trailer. Maybe the tail would have to be hinged for riding here :D

Hi Steve,
Trailer looks great, could a strong wind close the lid and lock you in ?
Has anyone got any ideas what you could take to bed with you in order to extracate yourself if this happens.

I'm not worried about the wind, it's you lot after a few beers that worries me, I'm going to make sure I'm the last one out of the bar :D
