An alternative option is to get guide liners fitted to your existing guides. I have used this successfully on my first Healey but the skilled man who did the job is, sadly, no longer with us.

Can anyone tell the difference between MK1 series B valve guides 477-50 and MK2 guides I know valve stem size is the same ,so I was thinking I could have MK1 guides machined to size ,would this be possible?
