Re: My Hybrid
That will be fun to ride - something that's in short supply at the moment.

Re: My Hybrid
It sure looks good, but don't you need lights?
Here in Finland it would disaster to police.

Re: My Hybrid
hi i think you will find that wen the bike was first made lights was a extra and had to buy them , and if you use the bike in the day light only in the uk its dont need lights
Re: My Hybrid
Thank You Johnny, I bought the bike as a loosely assembled collection of parts, the PO had sadly passed away before he'd finished it, I never met him but apparently he had a few Ariels, and this was one he was building for himself. I tried to finish it with the bits it came with and hopefully the way he was going to do it. It was a fun project and a bit of a steep learning curve in parts, but I've been helped by a friend who put me in touch with the bike in the first place. The gearbox is out at the moment, hopefully to try and reduce the number of neutrals in there and increase the primary gearing. I've put a few miles on it and always come back smiling.JohnnyBeckett wrote:hi Ian, a very nice looking Ariel and i do like the front mudguard i think it looks very neat, and i think you have made a very good job of the rebuild of the bike

Hi Eero, not a problem here, as long as I don't ride it at night.Eero.Korhonen wrote:It sure looks good, but don't you need lights?

I see you're in Oulu, I passed through in 2019 en route from Helsinki to Rovaniemi and onwards to Nordkapp on my modern Tiger, I've been to Finland many times and have some good friends there, Love your country.
