HD wobble
First comment : If their engineers were as good as their lawyers then their bikes would be great.

Re: HD wobble
Play fair - the film is from 2006
The newer ones are supposed to handle a lot better (although something weighing over 700 lbs is always going to be a handful!)
Full marks to the tester though. He kept going back for more!

Re: HD wobble
I think I have mentioned this before but back in the fifties "tank slappers" were fairly commonplace. I don't know what caused them - speed was involved and as I remember, not necessarily cornering. It happened with girders and teles. It was a common subject for discussion. The perceived wisdom at the time was to try to accelerate through, but easier said than done.
I can remember it happening three times at least to me. Surely some other of you old fogies will remember it.
I had a fairly long break from riding from 1956 until the late 60s and since I started again on just the same models of bike
I have never heard of it or experienced it at all.

Re: HD wobble
25mph and below my BM (R100RT) will 'slap' the bars violently if you try riding with 'fingertip control' (I've had it over 25 years/200k miles and I think it's always done it notwithstanding anything I've done that might make it more stable - rebuilt/changed forks, new rear dampers, umpteen new tyres).
Doesn't do it at speed fortunately although you can make it a bit unfriendly by putting load and loads out on the back....

Re: HD wobble
About your BM, try giving it a bit more then standard pressure in the tires.
