Anyone know of any difference between lower rear chain guards assigned to W/NG and civilian models?

The low tube is one inch shorter so the chainguard will be too.

Does it have a different part number? I didn't cut my lower chainguard short to fit the W/NG, and I made it from one for an Anstey frame.
cheers

I've never run one on the W/NG I have, It would prevent me applying a lot of chain oil and wiping off the surplus so it doesn't get on the rear tyre. Nev

I have lower chainguards on my Ariels.
Spray and muck that gets thrown from tire onto chain have the force of a small blasting jet.
Without a lower guard chain and sprocket life gets shortened .

hi Vincent you have made me think about putting the lower chain guard back on my NH now the winter is coming don't need all rocksalt getting on the chain and sprockets, and that will give them a good grind up
