Thanks Nev, thats interesting, how would I be able to tell if this was a triumph front wheel ? It looks exactly like my mates front wheel on his W/NG .

The "normal" one has a cast brake drum with fins. The other is a steel brake drum. They are both front wheel speedo drive mechanism Nev

Hi Nev, mine is the cast type with the fins. I did think that the shoes may have been from something like a Colt or C11 but it looks more likely that someone in the past has swopped the original steel shoes for a set of the later alloy ones.
