Re: ariel colt
It's nice to hear about someone else restoring a Colt - you might have seen my effort on this site:
http://forum.arielownersmcc.com/viewt ... f=40&t=506
It would help to know a little bit more about your Colt - what sort of state is it in? how much of the restoration is done? what parts are missing? Posting a few pictures of your Colt here would help to get the good people on this group talking!
As well as this group you can find spare parts at m/c autojumbles, on ebay and at a shop called Draganfly: www.draganfly.co.uk If this is already known to you then forgive the repetition.
Remember that the Colt engine is from the BSA C11G but fitted with an Ariel cylinder and head to reduce the capacity to 200 cc. The frame, rear suspension and rear wheel were taken from the 150cc D3 Bantam and were also used on the cut price BSA C10L, however the forks and front wheel were as used on the C11G and were a bit more substantial. So you can buy BSA bits that will fit your bike.
Good luck!
