1950 ariel red hunter 500cc
hello all, just wondering if anyone has seen my old bike, had to sell it about 1981, it was bought by pollards of dinnington,south Yorkshire. reg number was LRR 964. may I also say thankyou to the report on the 1937 ariel red hunter that is on sale for £12.000 it was described as a bitsa on here, managed to get my deposit back. regards stuart.

Hi Stuart, I have had your LRR 964 for at least a dozen years. I bought it from Rob Reaney just south of Sheffield.
It was quite rough when I got it and over the years I have done a ton of work on it but hardly touched it cosmetically.
It is now reliable- touch wood- and I do a few hundred miles every year on it on VMCC runs and the like.
I have the old buff logbook -or most of it- which goes up to the 1960s but if you have any other history I'd be glad to have it.
I'm not often on this forum and found your post by chance but if you give me your contacts I'll send you a recent picture.
