WNG Rear Carrier Mounting Points

Post by Michael.Brown »

Hi all,

After refurbishing the WNG Carrier with new pannier brackets to one side (thank you John M) I am about ready to fit it to the bike.

I can see where it is bolted, front middle and back but my question is do I bolt up the carrier bracket ends inside or outside of the saddle spring frame lugs and inside of the rear mudguard hinged section stay or outside. What is best?

If anyone could put up a couple of close up photos of each connection that would be very helpful.

My gut feeling is
front mounting: inside off the saddle spring frame lugs (between that and the mudguard bridge)
rear mounting: inboard of the rear mudguard hinged stay.

At least that looks about right to me although I am not sure how well the middle mounting will line up with the hole in the mudguard stay which looks to have a welded nut on the inside? Is that correct?

Any help would be much appreciated
