I made them up last week.
They are tied to the number of posts you have made ..
.. can I sense a man that is desparate for his first "anorak" ?... I can reveal that you are within touching distance ... 8-)

Superb idea! I bought a nice dayglo Hein Gericke jacket last week, but its just not as attractive as the blue quilted M&S anorak I had when I was 7.

I'll keep posting until I get a new virtual one!
cheers

Is it possible to make them less obvious John. From an aesthetic aspect they are too dominant . We don't want them to be too important. Also, a post like this one from me, shouldn't count for much. Nev

Howzat ? They are smaller and less obtrusive ....

I am afraid the system cannot differentiate in terms of quality vs quantity. It just counts posts and you get a different image for reaching a certain number of posts. Rating by quality would mean a human reading every post and individually rating it ..

All the ranking is, is a measure of how active you are ...

Going back to the topic of noisy engines. My WNG sounded a bit like yours, I changed two things. Rocker boxes and the small end bush. Now its much better and that "clack clack" has gone. Just the sound of the chains and exhaust now.

Correct me if wrong,.. I think the factory also battled the noise by placing a washer under the bottom valve cup .
I have seen them in copper and fiber.
anyone any comment on that.
Could they be missing from this engine ?

Seems like a good idea Vincent. I can hear the timing gears in all that too. Is the mainshaft running true on that side? Ariel gears can make a lot of noise if they have any wear, especially if you have strong valve springs. Nev
