Front Hub Speedo Drive Ring

Post by paul.wirdnam »

I've got a '39 civilian 7" front wheel with the optional hub speedo drive. I believe the WN/G driving ring has 43 teeth while mine has 44.

My question is how do you remove these rings? I know they are threaded but which way and what's the best way to undo them? Anyone know where I can get a 44 ring from? (Drags is out of stock).

Many Thanks
Paul

Paul, have you tried single spares, I know he has had them in the past.

Thinking about the rotation of the wheel, I think left hand thread, if I get in the garage today I can check.

Thanks Dave. No luck with Peter K but he's giving me a few leads to follow up...

Paul, try Johan Geertshuis , I've seen those gears on his stand but did not count the teeth.
