So what is secret? I've been struggling all afternoon with my rest stand spring.
How do you guys fit them?

Re: Rear Stand Spring
One method that works well is to put one end of the spring in a vice and bend it over like a banana.
As the space between the coils opens up slip a washer between each in turn.
Slip the now stretched spring on then flip the stand down and all the washers will fall out.

Re: Rear Stand Spring
You can do it in situ.
Lift the bike on the stand
attach one end, of the spring, to it's lug on the stand.
Put a great big (flat head) screwdriver through the other end of the spring.
Place the screwdriver against where the spring needs to go and use it as a lever to slide the spring to where it should go

Re: Rear Stand Spring
It's easy to put the spring on;
take a peace of round wood, drill a hole lengdwise, stick a wire trough the hole in to a circel, hook in the spring and pul it on, keep it ready for the next time like brake springs.
