Chaps,
I have a 276AD fitted to my W/NG. Anyone know what size that is? I’m unsure where to measure the choke size. It’s got a 120 main jet as expected. It’s definitely got a 1J float chamber, because I fitted it and it’s easy to check float chamber numbers from the Amal book, but I don’t understand what throat sizes match the 276, 276 and 289 nomenclature...
I thought W/NGs were fitted with 275 carburetters?

Hi Simes, the 276AD was originally fitted to the wartime military Triumph 3HW. It is a 1" bore.

Spot on! Thanks John, that actually contributes another part of this bike's history. It was sold out of the military by ARAR, an Italian government agency responsible for disposal of military equipment left after the war. There must have been 3HWs in their compounds as well.john.davies wrote:Hi Simes, the 276AD was originally fitted to the wartime military Triumph 3HW. It is a 1" bore.

This bike wasn't repatriated until August 2016.
