Drain Plugs

Cleaning out my oil tank, I noticed the drain plug has a built in help function:

Do they all look like this?

It's usually on the outside. Hard to see the "writing" on it from the inside especially if the oil is in need of draining. Perhaps the kid doing the stamping was new at the job. Nev

It's on the outside - you can't see the hexagon in the picture because I hadn't cleaned it.

Do all drain plugs have that stamping or is it a military thing? I haven't noticed it on my other Ariels but then I can't say I've looked...

It's like those stickers on cars; "When you can read this" ...... you have drained the tank !

On the older Harley gearbox it says "keep filled". Should have that on your beer mug, steiner etc Nev
