First ride 350 NH

Post by AndiRobinson »

Finally got a first short ride out on my bike. Had to reframe it after a bit of a cock up with trusting a dating certificate.

My dad did most of the work as I am time poor and he is retired.

It is not a rivet counter build, we have made and changed bits as we have gone along.

First run today went well and after we tweeked the timing it ran and ticked over well.

Waiting on an inspection now so I can get a dating certificate and get it registered properly.

I looks better in the pictures but it is in great runner condition now.

I got the frame blasted and powder coated locally and a lass at work has a husband who does spraying. He did a great job on the tanks and the tool box. I gave him bare metal and he filled and sprayed, black is a horrible colour for barrow jobs so it is not 100% but I am more than happy for what I paid.

The rest of the bike is done in a mixture of different blacks and looks ok considering the state of some of the panels, dad did a lot of hammering and filling for a good few weeks.

Just need the dating certificate now so we can get the DVLA to give me a number, then I can regularly break down until we iron out any issue :D
