NH alloy head
What's the current going rate for the above in good condition?

I can't recall one being available in this part of the world. I know it is a bit off topic but, a fault? sometimes with the alloy heads of that period was they were quite soft and the faces where the head bolts press would distort. This also means that the inserts will not be held in so tightly. Porosity is another problem. I had an Enfield Bullet ( Reddich not India) that had a porous head. Didn't stop it running but the engine was always leaking oil through the metal.. Head reconditioners these days hardness test heads and if they are too soft they reject them. Nev

I managed to pick one up from Drags about a year ago for, I think about £60 + Vat etc for a '56 NH. In nice condition.
