Serial number 'X' suffix

Post by richard.feltham »

I've got a 1949 Mk I that has an 'X' as the last character of the serial number. Does anyone know if this signifies anything special? I can't see anything else that isn't standard on it.

I'd be very grateful for any information.
Many thanks
Richard

Thanks for that Markus. that would make sense as some of the frame elements are earlier than 1949.
Cheers
