Front Brake Cam Lever

Post by simon.holyfield »

Has anyone got one of these folks? It's a straight arm, PN 4141-40 and has the swivel end set up to accommodate the flats on the brake rod.
cheers

I got one from Drags last year for the 4G. You might have to adjust the alignment slightly but it works well enough.

Do Drags brake levers have a round hole for the rod? I have a cranked lever on the W/NG at the moment, which has a round hole.

I believe that the lever should be straight, and have a slot to prevent the brake rod rotating?
cheers

My lever, ex Drags, is slotted but has a round hole on the top side to part way through. The slot only exists for perhaps a third of the total length of the hole, as per the originals. I assume the slot going only part of the way through is for ease of manufacture but I suppose it could also be to allow a small amount of rotation before the brake rod has to bend if the joint between pin and arm becomes solid.
