GEB354 Where is it now?
GEB354 Where is it now?
I owned GEB354, a 1957 VH 500 back in 1972 when I was 14. It was bought for £8 and I rode it on the tracks and fields on dads farm, It was complete and original apart from the missing chain guard/case and the air filter.
Re: GEB354 Where is it now?
I can help you. GEB354 is alive and well. I bought her as a basket case back in the early 1990's. I had the old log book so was able to retain the number. She had lost the VH motor and gained an NH motor. I already had my dad's 1958 VH restored , so was looking for something to build and use as winter commuting transport. If you search for "Ermyntrude" you may find some pictures. She is taxed and on the road and is used and loved. If you give me your email I can send you quite few pictures.

Joe, Are your registration and make (Ariel) details correct as the quoted registration does not appear on the DVLA Vehicle Enquiry site at all ? Odd!
All the best,
Keith.

Re: GEB354 Where is it now?
Just spotted the comment re. not on DVLA. It seems the DVLA sometimes gets the "Make" fields on it's database a bit confused. To find GEB 354 you have to enter the make as Ariel redhunter nh. This is just as it appears on the V5C. On my Other Ariel the make is recorded as just Ariel. So there you are!

Re: GEB354 Where is it now?
As Joe points out, when doing a DVLA vehicle enquiry check it all depends on what the 'make' is shown as on the V5C as that is what the online system searches on. My 1939 VH is recorded on the V5C as an Ariel redhunter. If you search online for Ariel it does not bring up a match.

For non AOMCC members who will not have seen it before, Ermyntrude aka The Mad Cow has been on the front of Cheval.
