Where did it come from?
I have a 1940 W/NG. It came from Norway. It was purchased in 2007 and came to Canada in 2008-9. The frame number is XG13200 and the engine number was XN9386. The engine in the bike when I purchased it in 2015 has no number. It looks like an early restoration. I am looking for any info on the bike and what work has been done to the motor and gear box. Someone must know this Ariel W/NG. It was sold to me as a 1943. Not sure how to post photos on this site but there are some on the BSA M20 WEBSITE on page 2 with the title Ariel frame numbers by Steven.

Re: Where did it come from?
Thanks Adrie
The registration I have shows the bike was first registered on 1948/07/20. Was this one of the first 300 that was to the french? On the contract plate it shows TT2/DDS/1598 witch would indicate the bike was part of contract C8302 is this correct? Also Has the bike frame number been registered with AOMCC? The Ariel was registered to Gervais Richard Montebello Terr14 0379 OSLO if this helps
Cheers Steven in Ottawa

Delivered to the "Free French",De Gaulle may have planted his posterior in the seat.To France after D-Day.Maybe that's why De Gaulle was so anti-British. If it had been delivered a few months earlier,a Nazi trooper might have had it.Regards John.
