Outer cable speedometer drive

Post by kamil.bartosiak »

Hello,

I am looking for outer cable speedometer drive. It should be similar to a shower hose.
Do you know the supplier? I would buy this outer cable, "in meters" selected by myself length.

Kind regards
Kamil

If you want a second hand outer for a PA speedo, I am sure I have one or two. Contact me off line.

Can I assume that you cannot get new inners for them.
I am still running the original cable but it has a spot where rust has got it so it ticks and shakes the speedo. I am reluctant to get a repro cable if I can resurrect this one.

Also, John Budgen sells new PA speedo cables.

Thanks . but I only want an inner, as I'd like to keep the original outer if I can. Other wise I'll wait till this original breaks before I buy a repro one which I expect I can get from JJ cables near me.

Ian I can always

JJ cables supply good quality cables for PA speedos. I know of another supplier whose cables have, on occasion, wrecked a PA speedo in about 50 miles flat, presumably due to the connection at the speedo end not being fitted squarely. I therefore recommend JJ cables for PA speedo cables to the exclusion of all others.

I had a rust spot on my original Ariel PA speedo inner cable. I wanted to keep the original type not a modern type.
I got a new inner made to pattern for about £25 by
