Who can help me out with this puzzle please? W/NG 350 august 1942
I am looking for the lower fixing bolt (seems to be 3/8" 20 tpi ?) of the primary case which connects to the frame (opposite of the lower gear box axle). It is also the pivot for the brake pedal stop.
Has anybody a part number of even better the bolt/pivot itself?
Thanks.
John

This is interesting.
The parts book that I have lists a 5718-43 stop(leather) for brake pedal.
I don't know what that looks like though

The leather bit is for the late tin chain case. I gave my mate some leather so he could make his.

The leather is sandwiched into a thin bit of metal and stuck in place. Now when the footrest comes up it hits the leather first.

That solves a question I hadn't asked. I wasn't aware of it. I have leather washers to mount the petrol tank because there were no rubber mounts for the later W/NGs but this detail slipped by. Good one Steven!
