1938 Square Four SK 2374

Post by GuyH »

Hi, I'm new to the forum so apologies if I've put this in the wrong place. I have two old B&W photo's of a Square Four registration number SK 2374. One shows it with the proud owner and the other with him and presumably his wife. This one shows the bike with a sidecar attached. I also have the original telegram from the Ariel factory to Gunns in Eastbank, Wick saying 'Despatching 4G model passanger train tomorrow Thursday'. It then gives the engine and frame numbers. This is dated 20th April 1938. Finally there is an invoice to the owner - a Mr Couper of Caithness from Noxal for a luggage carrier and apron for the sidecar dated July 19th 1939. I've looked at the DVLA vehicle enquiry site and the bike is still in existence although it appears not to have been on the road since August 2009. If the owner would like to get in touch with me I can send them copies.
