Ariel SG31 sidecar

Post by stefano.corti »

Hi all.

Surfing on the web I found by mistake these 3 beautiful pictures from 1951 taken near Bologna.
Unfortunately no way to investigate into the italian Archives... The plate number doesn't match with an Ariel, but with a Gillet, craizy, isn'it?
The bike owner at that time was Alberto Sassoli, but no way to find relatives around Bologna area.......

Ciao Stefano,
un bello modello Ariel Sloper con sidecar. E buonissimo per participare in Aprile 2016 quando il grupo Ariel di Italia va a Carrara!
Ciao e un felice anno nuovo

Yes perfect bike with sidecar for the italian rally in Palagano (Modena) from 23rd to 28th of April. From that place it will be easy to ride to Versilia coast, to Tuscany, To Maranello, Vignola and visit many local Museums... Of course food, Tortellini especially will be great.
Unfortunately it will not be possible to find that bike until the italian transport dpt will give correct informations about that plate.... :-)
happy new yar to all of you.
Stefano
