Hi,
Can somebody recommend a good person for re-lining brake shoes. Ideally, I would like them to be riveted rather than just bonded.
Many thanks.

I had my Bantam D1 shoes re-lined by Charles Johnson Bus & Truck Parts in Beech Drive, Norwich. Excellent service, soft linings at £8 per shoe. I have two finger braking!
cheers

Re: Brake re-lining
Thanks for the info guys. I am a bit worried about the two-finger braking, though. It might not be all that convenient using my fingers to operate the rear brake. Beside which, I need those two fingers for signalling.

Re: Brake re-lining
I got the brake shoes relined with rivetted, over-sized, standard road material. I skimmed the drum on the milling machine and turned the shoes on the lathe for a perfect fit.
The improvement is spectacular. The rear brake is incredible. The front brake isn't at all bad by Ariel standards but it now seems weedy by comparison. I will need to get it done now.
