dimensions of NH 350 or Vb

Post by VBellman »

Hi peoples ,
Can anyone with a 1955 NH 350 or VB or thereabouts, measure up the length and width please, I,ve got a trailer thats 59'' long by 49'' wide, in English please note.
Bit of wishful thinking, about picking one up but I,m moving, hopefully, form the Outer Hebrides, down to Blackpool area, and though it was a bit more conducive to bike riding!
My father in law up in N.Devon, had a Morris 1000 pick up, and bolted a U form, bit of RSJ, to the floor, straight, from front to rear of the PU bed, 2 lifted front wheel on, pushed, then lift rear on, so easy!! So I thought I might do similar to the trailer if it,s a bit short.
Thanks ,In anticipation

Where there's will there's a way. I've lengthened trailers as you described.

You dont need the trailer to go to the far end of the bike ,just long enough to get the spindle over the end and let the rest hang over.

True, that'll save me a foot or so, and I'm sure I can find 76'' or so long to act as a channel to steady the bike

Just found something on THAT web site, a conversion that fits over the towing ball, you put the front wheel onto that, and you tow it using the back wheel of the bike on the deck and turning, mind you £260 including postage from yankeeland seems a bit excessive
