1954 NH 350

Post by VBellman »

Question asked before, bike is back on ebay, as an auction item this time.
Any observations on this one please, such as originality etc, you know what I mean, having read reports on other bikes on ebay, I trust you lot completely.

As we don't know the numbers, a number of small things wrong: speedo,1 lever, horn, toolbox knob and front mudguard support.

Can I see these in the log book?
engine PR1377
frame KS22100

In the photos, same engine number, can't make out the frame number, it does seem to have 7 digits but looks a bit more like PR than KS

It has some nice features like the air box and side stand, which can be hard to get at a reasonable price! The colour doesn't look right to me, plus the other items wrong as listed by some others. It looks to have modern wiring too, for about £50 you can buy a period style loom from Draganfly which would make it look a lot better.

Worth a bid, but I don't think it's a top money bike.

It looks quite good to me especially at around the price it is at the moment.
I do think a lot of people on this forum are too picky expecting a concours entrant for a couple of grand
Acknowledge its shortcomings and ride it as is and improve it as and when you can.

1954 would be PD engine to KS frame, so not a bad Ariel.

Hi,
Having compared the ebay photo's as best I can with my own 1954 NH 350 there are one or two differences as previously mentioned plus mine has a Monobloc carburrettor inplace of the one in the photo, whether these are significant or not is up to the owner, overall it looks quite a good bike.
I did notice the footrest lever had been highered for ease of operation, I have done something similar.

Regards
John Palmer.
