Arrow poor spark

Post by BarryDavies »

Hi
I have a poor spark, even though I have electronic ignition and a one into two coil.
If I upgrade the whole system to 12 volt will I get a corresponding big boost for a fatter spark? - or doesn't it work that way?
Am I just applying simple senior thinking?
Cheers
Barry

You certainly will . . Briefly  .

If you are moving to 12 volt, the coil should be for a 12 volt circuit as well, or it could (will) overheat.

A weak spark indicate a fault in the ignition system. Upgrading to 12 volt will not remove that fault.
