Voltage regulation

Hi All,

Measured the voltage on the 6 volt battery on my Arrow and found it to go between 7 and 8.5 volts depending on engine speed. This means that at 50 mph the battery, coils and everything else is being subjected to a voltage more than 30% above rated. Fitted a Pazon voltage regulator to replace the rectifier and now everything has stabilised. Volts now between 6.5 to 7.2 only regardless of engine speed. Right on spec.!

Garry, Thank you for posting your findings, very worthwhile keeping in mind for those of us who still have those old regulators fitted to our bikes. Jess
