Ariel 1930 Model G

Post by paul.wirdnam »

I often wondered what happened to my Model G --- getting rid of it was probably a big mistake, but at the time, Ron Farthing had just imported a Matchless Silver Hawk from an defunct museum in Australia, so a deal was done, in 2002 I think, and he took away my Model G  ... and I spent the next 2 years restoring the Hawk.

Here are the only photos I have of my Model G:

But this next photo (from the Ariel Drome on the AOMCC Website) is a mystery. It could be one of mine, but I have no copy of it or recollection of the location, but is the same bike, so maybe someone does know where it is now:

Well I never!

My Model G has just appeared on the Dutch Lion website!

Not much has changed in the 11 years since I last saw it....although I can see that someone has fitted an oil tap on the supply line.

It has an oiltap and a dent in the tank, so he has forgotten the tap, the engine seazed and his wife told him to sell?
