Classic number plate - that looks good….

Post by Martin K »

Hi

Does anyone know of a supplier that can make standard classic British black and white rear plates (and possibly the right radius front ones that look right?

The 9”x7” rear plate overhangs the mounting on the rear mudguard and looks dreadful. Show plates are rubbish - ideally I’d like an 8”x 6” plate with legal size lettering. Can’t find a good one.

Hate the idea of a ‘black background and sticky letters’ diy job.

Many thanks

Hi Martin

I've used these people before:

https://www.myshowplates.com/

They seem to have most options covered and I was able to customise the plate with the address and tel no of the original supplying dealer, which I thought was a nice touch.

Another option which I've used are adhesive vinyls supplied on a transparent mask to ensure accurate placing:

I thought Drags supplied front plates and Acme the mounting pillars, (no front on my 58).

Regards Mick
